Siddhant Jain’s Research Published in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics

We are pleased to share that Siddhant Jain’s research on “Vortex Dynamics During Pinch-Off of Micro-Droplets” has been published in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics (JFM). The study experimentally investigates the vortical dynamics generated during droplet pinch-off in a cross-flow microfluidic generator and develops scaling laws to predict the circulation and associated stresses within the droplets. The work provides important insights into the mechanical environment experienced by encapsulated cells and contributes to the design of droplet-based microfluidic systems for chemical, biological, and medical applications.
