About the Workshop
Interfacial phenomena in droplets is a multidisciplinary field that focuses on understanding and manipulating the interactions between different materials at their interfaces. This field is par cularly relevant in phenomena associated with combus on, propulsion, nanotechnology, biomedical, materials science, and surface engineering. The workshop will cover four basic themes: (1) droplet instabili es and atomiza on at different spa otemporal scales, with relevance from hypersonic to addi ve manufacturing to microfluidics; (2) Droplet impact on surfaces, with applica ons ranging from spray cooling, agriculture, thermal sprays; (3) We ng, spreading of droplets, which is crucial for applica ons ranging from healthcare, coa ng to 3D prin ng and; (4) Drying of droplets, which is central to many applica ons ranging from spray drying, surface pa erning to DNA.
The workshop will offer a pla orm for the exchange of ideas, problem-solving approaches, and methodologies, effec vely bridging research and industry. Dis nguished experts will deliver plenary and keynote addresses, and par cipants will have the opportunity to present their research papers, fostering a dynamic environment for knowledge exchange, dissemina on and establishing mutually beneficial connec ons and collabora ons between academia and industry.

Moreover, the workshop offers consolidated insight into the current research landscape in India in the domain of Interface Phenomena in Droplets and the opportunity to establish collabora ve efforts with Indian counterparts through a variety of funding programs.
