Research Interest: High-Speed Imaging of Droplets and Bubbles. Surface-Liquid Interactions, Including Wetting, Adhesion, and Heat Transfer.
About me:
My interest in research comes from a strong curiosity about nature and a fundamental understanding of the physical laws that govern everyday phenomena. Exploring these mechanisms through experiments and theory is what keeps me interested in my work. I am a Mechanical Engineer and researcher driven by curiosity about how fluids interact with engineered surfaces. I completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Goa (2025), where my research focused on fluid mechanics and surface modification, with emphasis on droplet dynamics, wetting, lubrication, and energy dissipation on textured, flexible, and functional surfaces.
My doctoral work bridged fundamental interfacial physics with practical applications relevant to spraying, thermal management, and advanced materials, supported by extensive hands-on experimental design and high-speed diagnostics.
Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Basu Lab at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, where I continue exploring fluid–surface interactions using High-Speed PIV and IR cameras.
I enjoy mentoring students, collaborative research, and translating scientific insights into real-world solutions.
