Research Interest: Research Interest: Droplet Atomization, Blast-Wave Interactions, Alternative Fuels

Hi, I’m Akarsh Choudhary, a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in 2024 from Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT, formerly NSIT Delhi), where I worked on the CFD analysis of a VTOL drone using ANSYS.

During my research internship at IIT Delhi, I worked on hydrogen direct injection using CONVERGE CFD. Since August 2024, I have been a member of Prof. Saptarshi Basu’s lab at IISc. My research interests include nanofluids, alternative fuels, blast-wave interactions, and droplet atomisation. Currently, I am working on tandem droplet breakup under extremely high-speed flow conditions.
