I have recently submitted my Ph.D. thesis titled “Vapor Mediated Interaction in Droplets” under the guidance of Prof. Saptarshi Basu. I am a Research Associate in Prof. Saptarshi Basu Lab currently studying microbial motility under the influence of fluid flows in droplets in collaboration with Professor Dipshikha Chakravortty from the Department of Microbiology and Cell Biology, IISc.
I have learned in my Ph.D. that what may seem to be a simple phenomenon could actually be surrounded by a world of mysteries. What may seem very tiny may actually matter the most. Micro-Nano world has flabbergasted me. After all, big things come in tiny packages. I have started believing in curiosity-driven science.
I am an interdisciplinary package with expertise in microscale fluidics and soft matter. I am open to opportunities, postdoctoral positions after graduating from the lab.
My Expertise and Skill Set
I have experience in experimental techniques like Micro-Particle Image Velocimetry (μ-PIV), Flow Visualization Techniques, Live Cell Imaging, Fluorescence Imaging, High-speed imaging, Fabrication of engineered surfaces using spin/spray coating, soft lithographic and dry etching techniques. Have worked in the cleanroom of class 100 and 1000 at National Nano-Fabrication Center in Center for Nanoscience and Engineering (CENSE), IISc.
I have Expertise in Micro/Nano Characterization, Hands-on experience in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Optical Profilometry, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Zeta Sizing, Dynamic light scattering (DLS), Confocal Microscopy, Fluorescence Microscopy, Raman Spectroscopy, Rheometer.
