SAPTARSHI BASU LAB

Hi! I'm Akhil Aravind, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IISc. I'm broadly interested in the areas of fluids and thermal sciences. I joined Prof. Basu's group in August 2021 and am currently involved in the fundamental studies on droplet and spray combustion. 

I completed my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from RVCE (Bangalore) in 2019. I went on to do my Master's in Aerospace Engineering and graduated from IIT Kanpur in 2021, during which I worked on numerical analysis of leading-edge vortices in pitching airfoils.
