A Memorable APS DFD 2025 for Our Research Group

APS DFD 2025 was a memorable and enriching experience for our research group. We proudly presented our work across multiple platforms, including one invited talk on secondary atomization under extreme conditions , one DFD Interact talk on vortical cleaning , two contributed talks on microscale flows  and cascades and corrugations , along with five Gallery of Fluid Motion videos and two poster presentations. Dr. Gautham Vadlamudi Wins Best PhD Thesis Award (2025) by Indian Society of Heat and Mass Transfer.

Gautham Vadlamudi, a former PhD student from the Basu lab, has been awarded the Best PhD Thesis Award 2025 by the Indian Society of Heat and Mass Transfer for his thesis titled “Spatio-temporal Dynamics in Droplet Combustion under Diverse Flow Conditions,” . We congratulate him on this outstanding accomplishment. With this recognition, a total of 11 PhD scholars from our group have now received Best PhD Thesis awards.
